Summary: Tim doesn’t know if he should laugh or not. Laugh and die, or—
—
“There is some—embellishment,” the god explains, his elbows resting on the table, which is more than Tim thought he would manage. After all, this is a Midgardian eating establishment. Odin forbid contamination. “In mythology.”
“All myths are routed in truth somewhere.”
“Not when you are the one that wrote them,” thin fingers tap against a thin cheek. Tim can’t tell if Loki is embarrassed or not. So he swallows his laughter. Just to be safe.
“Ah. So you have not had relations with—“
“No.”
“—anyone?”
Loki’s face tightens. Tim thinks his life will flash before him, but laughter bubbles up in his throat. He covers his mouth with his hand, his eyes crinkling with the force of the hilarity. (Yes, please, smite me now, because I just can’t hold it in—)
“Your amusement is not pleasing.”
“I was not aware that you knew what is pleasing.”
(I’ve done it. This is the end of my life. What an astounding obituary I’ll have.)
“Your tone is not appreciated.” Tim almost giggles. “I don’t see you without your—virginity.”
Tim smiles, “but I never told stories about my ‘exploits.’”
Loki’s lips twitch. Tim thinks it might be a smile in the making. “I don’t know why I keep you around.”
“My charm and my wit have saved my life any a time.”
And that definitely is a smile. “I can see that being the case.”
